Website Server Management

Keep your website servers healthy: deployments, backups, SSL, performance issues and troubleshooting on Linux hosting.

See related work

Many website problems sit between the code and the server: a Node.js app running in development mode, a PHP upgrade that breaks a site, a CPU spike from a runaway process, or backups that were never actually tested. I manage and troubleshoot website servers with that full picture in mind.

I work on Linux servers through SSH and through control panels such as Plesk, cPanel/WHM and CloudPanel. Some tasks — hardware issues, data-centre networking, provider-level firewalls — need your hosting provider, and I coordinate with them when that is the case.

Problems this solves

  • Your site goes down and nobody knows why
  • The server's CPU or memory spikes during traffic or cron jobs
  • Backups exist but have never been restored to test them
  • A Node.js or Next.js app keeps crashing in production
  • SSL certificates expire without warning

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer 24/7 monitoring?

I do not offer a staffed 24/7 service. I can set up automated uptime alerts and agree response times for working hours as part of a maintenance plan.

Which access do you need?

Usually SSH or control-panel access with an account created for me. You keep the root or owner credentials.

Need help with Server Management?

A new website, a redesign, a site that keeps going down, or rankings that dropped after a migration — tell me what is going on and I will reply with a clear next step.
